64 Express Lanes :: E-ZPass

You will need an E-ZPass or E-ZPass Flex* on weekdays to travel on the 64 Express Lanes Reversible Roadway in Norfolk between 5 - 9 a.m. (westbound) and between 2 - 6 p.m. (eastbound).

When the Hampton Roads Express Lanes come online in Chesapeake as early as 2023, motorists traveling as HOV-2+ must have an E-ZPass Flex switched to HOV ON to use the lanes free of charge.

*Please note* E-ZPass On-the-Go retailers cannot exchange standard E-ZPass transponders for E-ZPass Flex transponders. This can only be done online, over the phone or in person at one of our E-ZPass customer service centers (see below).

With an E-ZPass, electronic tolls are automatically deducted from your pre-paid E-ZPass account.
